From Denmark with love
Originating in Denmark, glerups slippers saw the light of day for the first time, when founder Nanny Glerup made a pair of wool slippers for her darling husband. She had taken a class in making things in felt and wanted her first “product” to be a gift for her husband, something both practical, useful and comfortable. Her husband was so thrilled about these slippers that soon he would wear them anywhere, telling everyone who enquired about them that his wife had made them for him.
Soon, family, friends and neighbours were asking for a pair as well and then the ball started rolling. Orders were coming from all around and when a huge order from Sweden landed, Nanny knew that this couldn’t stay merely a hobby. Thus, glerups was created and today we send slippers to countries all over the world.
