Models & Sizes

Which model should I choose?

Slip-On
If you tend to get warm feet quickly and often slip your indoor shoes on and off throughout the day, our Slip-On model is the perfect choice for you.

Shoe
If you prefer a slipper that fits more securely on your foot, the Shoe model is the ideal option.

Boot
The Boot is designed for those who want extra warmth around the ankles and lower legs. If you often experience cold feet and ankles, the Boot is a reliable choice.

What should I do if I am between two sizes?

If you are unsure which size to choose, you can use our "Size Guide". Please note that the guide is intended as a reference only, as the best fit is achieved by trying on a physical pair.

If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.

If your slippers are too small, your toes may press against the wool at the front, which can lead to premature wear over time.

Are glerups slippers available in separate men's and women's sizes?

glerups slippers are designed as a unisex style and are made to fit most feet comfortably.

What is the difference between a leather sole and a rubber sole?

Leather soles provide a soft, flexible, and natural feel making them ideal for indoor use.

Rubber soles offer greater grip and stability and are also suitable for light outdoor use.

Both options are designed for comfort. The right choice depends on whether you plan to wear your glerups exclusively indoors or would also like the flexibility to use them for light outdoor activities.

Are glerups suitable for wide feet?

Our slippers are generally designed with extra room around the toes, as they are made in a unisex fit.

In addition, the natural wool will gradually adapt to the shape of your feet over time, providing a comfortable and personalized fit.

Can the insole be removed?

No, the insole cannot be removed from our slippers.

Our slippers feature a double layer of felted wool in the sole, which is an integrated part of the design and cannot be taken out.

Will my glerups stretch over time?

glerups slippers are made from 100% natural wool, which will gradually adapt to the shape of your feet and create a personalized fit.

While glerups slippers do not stretch in length, they will naturally adjust in width to accommodate your feet over time.

Should I wear socks with my glerups?

We recommend wearing your glerups with bare feet.

Of course, you can wear socks if you prefer, but many people choose to go barefoot to fully enjoy the natural comfort and temperature-regulating properties of the wool.

Do glerups slippers provide arch support?

glerups slippers are made with a double layer of wool in the sole, helping to create a personalized fit for your feet. The natural wool gradually adapts to the shape of your feet over time.

However, our slippers are not designed with specific arch support.

Our Wool

Can I wash my glerups?

We do not recommend machine washing your glerups, as it may affect both the wool and the shape of the slippers.

Please refer to our "Care Guide" on the website for recommended cleaning and maintenance instructions.

My slippers are shedding a little wool. Is this normal?

Yes, this is completely normal.

Wool is a natural material, and a small amount of shedding may occur, especially when the slippers are new. This will gradually decrease over time with regular use.

How does the wool adapt to my feet?

The natural wool gradually adapts to the shape of your feet as you wear your glerups, creating a comfortable and personalized fit through the slipper’s double-layer wool sole.

All glerups models are made with a double layer of wool in the sole, which is an integral part of the slipper. This contributes to the exceptional comfort and fit that glerups is known for.

Where are glerups slippers produced?

All glerups slippers are designed in Denmark and produced at our own factory in Romania.

Having our own production facility allows us to maintain strict quality control and ensure that every pair is made with care and attention to detail.

You can read more about our production and our wool under “About glerups”.

Why do the colors of my slippers look different from the pictures on the website?

As our slippers are made from natural wool and felted during production, slight color variations may occur from pair to pair.

Wool is a natural material, and the felting process can create subtle differences in shade and texture. In addition, screen settings and lighting conditions may also affect how colors appear online compared to real life.

Have your production methods or product quality changed over time?

The core principles behind glerups have remained the same for many years.

Our slippers are still made from natural materials, crafted with care and a strong focus on comfort and durability.

While small improvements may occur over time, our production methods and quality standards remain consistent – with care from “farm to foot”.
